CP Onboarding

Step-by-step: Onboarding

Becoming a Community Pro (CP) is simple and guided through the Collab app.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the Collab App
  2. Tap “Become a Community Pro”
  3. Select the appropriate option
  4. Set your password
  5. Complete the required ID verification
  6. Wait for approval from Collab staff

In some cases you will be invited to a quick interview with one of our staff members.

Once approved:

  • Your account becomes active
  • Staff can assign tasks to you
  • You’ll receive notifications when tasks are created
What do I need before I can start doing tasks?

Before you can start completing tasks, you must:

  • Be fully signed up in the Collab app
  • Use the correct email linked to your tenancy
  • Complete identity verification (if required)
  • Be approved by Collab staff
  • Have required app permissions enabled (location, microphone, notifications)
Communicating with Collab Staff during Onboarding

During onboarding (and anytime after), you can contact Collab staff using the in-app chat.

How do I know my onboarding is complete?

You will know your onboarding is complete when:

  • You receive confirmation from Collab staff
  • Youll recieve an app notification as well as an email
  • Your CP status is active
  • You can see tasks in the app (when available)

If you’ve signed up but haven’t received confirmation, contact support to check your status.

Why can’t I see any tasks yet?

If you don’t see any tasks, it could mean:

  • Your onboarding is not fully approved yet
  • There are currently no tasks available
  • Your account status is inactive or restricted

If you believe everything is complete but still see no tasks, reach out through the in-app chat

Identity, Access & Verification

Why do I need identity verification?

Identity verification helps Collab:

  • Ensure the safety of residents and prospective tenants
  • Maintain trust within the community
  • Confirm that only approved individuals complete tasks

Verification protects both you and the community. It is used internally and handled securely.

What can pause or block my access?

Your access to tasks may be paused or blocked if:

  • Required onboarding steps are incomplete
  • Identity verification is pending
  • A task was repeatedly not completed properly
  • Your CP status has been temporarily suspended

If your access changes and you’re unsure why, contact Collab staff through the in-app chat for clarification.
